Join us Saturday May 6th from 10am-1pm on the front lawn of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. We will be celebrating the United For Our Future Project as construction has begun! Let's also celebrate spring and the unlimited wind we experience in the parking lot of DMCC. We will have food vendors, kites flying high and kids activities on the lawn with music and fun for the whole family. Bring your own kite or pick up the kite you pre-ordered. We will also have some kites for sale on site while supplies last.

BE A PART OF THE LEGACY
This project is being funded by the generous support of parish members, local businesses and people near and far who want to help us build a campus that will honor the Holy Spirit for generations to come.
Pray for the cause. We will need spiritual support to sustain this ambitious undertaking. Pray for wisdom, perseverance, and generosity.
Spread the word and get involved. Help us generate excitement for the huge impact this will have for our parish and the Faribault community.
Make a gift or sacrificial pledge. This campaign will only be possible with your financial gifts.
HOW MUCH HAS BEEN PLEDGED?
Please refer to the current thermometer, updated monthly above or visit the board in the narthex. That will reflect the most current pledged amount.
HOW DO WE PLAN TO PAY FOR THE EXPENSES OVER THE PLEDGED AMOUNT?
As the final project budget is finalized, we will determine the funding sources. These will include pledges from the capital campaign, additional requests for campaign commitments, likely debt financing, and possibly existing reserves.
DO WE HAVE THE FINAL COST OF THIS PROJECT?
We are still in the process of getting final cost from the contractors. The fundraising thermometer has been updated in the narthex with our challenge goal being at $8M, the Ultimate goal being $13M and a new updated Ultimate goal of $15M.
WHO IS MANAGING THE PROJECT?
We have established a strong group of volunteers along with church and school staff to oversee 4 primary areas of the project. The four committees are;
Construction Services
Development and Fundraising
Marketing and Communications
Project Finance
WILL YOU BE UPDATING PARISHONERS AND DONORS THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE?
Yes, please watch the Bulletin, the DMCC Facebook page, website, or Flock Note emails. As we make progress, we will be communication on all forums.
HAVE WE REQUESTED INPUT FROM ALL CHURCH AND SCHOOL GROUPS WHO WILL BE REGULAR USERS OF THE NEW BUILDING?
Yes, we’ve met with many groups including CCW, Faith Formation, Knights of Columbus, Teachers, Church/School Staff, etc. for their input. We’ve then conveyed the needs ofthese groups to Pope Architects to keep these considerations in mind when designing the new building.
WHEN WILL WE SEE THE FINAL DESIGN OF THE BUILDING ALONG WITH THE COMPLETE LAYOUT?
As of summer of 2022, the final designs have been completed by Pope Architects.
WILL WE BE USING LOCAL COMPANIES FOR THIS PROJECT?
Pope Architects, the architectural firm we’ve selected, is in St Paul.
The primary construction management company will be MET-CON, a local company.
Both Pope Architects and MET-CON will be opening bids to local subcontractors prior to and during the construction phase.
HOW WERE POPE ARCHITECTS AND MET-CON SELECTED?
An interview process was conducted with potential architectural firms and contractors. Pope Architects and MET-CON were selected through this process.
WHAT IS A PROXY AND HAS IT BEEN APPROVED?
The elements of this project (construction, dollar amount, financing) required approval of Divine Mercy’s corporate board. The corporate board includes the Archbishop, Vicar General, Pastor and two lay trustees. The proxy provides the approval from the Archbishop and Vicar General. The project received this approval in August 2022.
WHEN WILL THE NEW BUILDING BE FINISHED?
Currently, our goal is to have the new school ready to move in prior to the 2024 school
year. Ideally, we could move in by mid-summer 2024 so we have plenty of time to set up classrooms etc. There are a lot of moving parts when undertaking such a large project and a lot of schedules need to be met for us to hit this goal.
