HOSTS Ministry (welcoming)
These ministers, gifted with a warm smile and pleasant disposition, will be the “front line” of hospitality! This specific ministry is overlooked in many places. When we think about the places we feel most comfortable, most welcome, most at home, it is often because of the people and reception that we receive.
Each of us is called to greet and welcome those around us when we come to prayer. However, it is especially important to greet every person that enters our doors. HOSTS Ministers can be individuals of any age or even a whole family! We invite everyone to take a turn welcoming those who come to pray with us. The HOSTS Minister arrives early for Mass and is stationed at the one of the entrances of the church. In addition to an enthusiastic “Good morning! Welcome!” particular help can be given to elderly as they enter, especially in poor weather, as well as assisting newcomers/visitors with directions or questions.
"I was a stranger and you welcomed me." (Matthew 25:35)
